Laura DeSena

I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Humanities at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies -- composition and research writing (in brick and mortar and virtual environments). In addition, I am a Faculty Observer of online instructors for NYUonline. I teach English at West Milford High School, New Jersey (AP Literature, Creative Writing, Film Literacy). I am an art critic -- articles on the painter, “Mary Cassatt,” and the second on photographer, ”Diane Arbus” –- are included in Contemporary Women Artists (St. Martin’s Press, 1999). I wrote Preventing Plagiarism: Tips and Techniques -- published by the National Council of Teachers of English (2007), currently in second printing. I served as an advisor in the revision of Turabian’s College Student Writing, 2010 published by University of Chicago Press. I am president and founder of Innovations in Online Education, Inc. serving New Jersey school districts: offering synchronous online education.
